Frequently Asked Questions

Where Should I Stay?

We will have a hotel block and will email you when available

Who Can Take the Course?

What about Perfusionists/ECMO Specialists?

Register as a nurse, it will work perfectly

What about Mid-Levels?

This is a little more complicated. The difference between the doc and nurse tickets is whether you cannulate during the course. If your scope of practice will include the actual placement of the ECMO cannulae, then register as a doc. Be aware: you must already have excellent central line skills. If you will be assisting with ECPR, but not placing garden hoses in vessels, then register as a nurse.

What about Fellows, Residents, etc.?

You are welcome to register as a doc, but unfortunately we can’t offer training discounts

What about EMS?

In general the course is not suited to prehospital folks, but if you have a role in the hospital, you are welcome to register as a nurse.

How do Cancellations Work?

If we are able to fill your spot, you will get the cost of registration minus $250 administrative fee refunded to you. If we are not able to fill the spot, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund. We will start auctioning off the ticket for lower and lower amounts and issue you back whatever we can get. You are also welcome to sell your ticket yourself.
